Security Camera Installation
A 24-camera commercial security system with remote viewing and access control integration for a busy Nepean retail store.
The challenge
A high-traffic retail location with recurring shrinkage and an aging, patchwork camera setup. Four old cameras, a DVR that couldn't be viewed remotely, and blind spots over the register, the stockroom door and the rear lane. Management wanted coverage they could actually check — from the store, from home, or from head office.
Our approach
We surveyed the store inside and out, mapped every blind spot and designed a 24-camera layout that prioritized the places problems actually happen. Installation happened around store hours to keep the business running — overnight and before open. The new system was wired to a modern NVR with 30 days of retention, and mobile apps were set up for the owner and two managers. As a final piece, the front and stockroom doors were tied into the system with access control, so entries are logged alongside footage.
The result
Full coverage of the property, remote viewing from any device, and door access that shows who entered and when. The owner checks the store from a phone in seconds.
